Zabinski Music Studio
Summer is HERE
How should i practice???
As many of our students are on their summer break, here at Zabinski Music Studio we wanted to provide a couple tips to make sure you continue practicing those instruments, while ensuring all that learning remains fun and engaging!
Set goals: We encourage all of our students, whether or not they take lessons over the summer, to set goals for pieces to learn and practice throughout! We suggest choosing songs that are different from the ones you typically take on during the school-year, to make the summer experience fresh and new. If you’re unsure of what songs to learn, ask your teacher at your next lesson!
Set a schedule: While “practicing when possible” might feel like the way to go during the summertime, we strongly suggest setting and trying to stick to a consistent schedule, whether that’s daily or even weekly!
Use interactive apps: Check out apps such as Flashnote Derby, Note Rush, and Staffwars to practice note-naming and playing, bringing technology and music together for more fun!
Take breaks: Continuing to practice over summer shouldn’t be a drag, and it shouldn’t be packing your schedule. Make sure to take nice breaks and spend time doing other fun, active summer activities with friends & family!
